Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil on Tuesday said that measures are being finalized to launch 13 new industrial complexes in 12 governorates in an effort to create jobs for young people.
The move comes within the framework of the presidential initiative to employ youth, he added at a meeting with Minister of Planning Hala al Saeed and Governor of Qena Abdel Hamid el Haggan along with MPs and investors.
The government and political leadership are working to enhance the national industry through increasing industrial projects, he pointed out, adding that these efforts will help boost the national economy’s potentials.
These complexes will be launched in the first half of this year, he said, adding that the government has started a program for local development in the governorates of Qena and Sohag at the cost of one billion dollars.
The program is aimed at modernizing the industrial infrastructure in both governorates and upgrading other services, he added. (MENA)
