UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan discussed with his Saudi counterpart Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz, a number of issues of mutual interest, especially in the security and policing fields as well as means to boost bilateral relations.
Both sides reviewed the report of the Emirati-Saudi joint security committee, and re-affirmed the need to strengthen bilateral cooperation in light of the common visions and full harmony on facing security challenges and issues of common concern, according to WAM News Agency on Thursday.
The UAE minister briefed his Saudi counterpart on a number of initiatives and projects carried out by the UAE Ministry of the Interior, as part of its endeavor to consolidate and enhance security in the country as well as achieve its strategic objectives.
Initiatives that were presented during the meeting, include ‘Aqdar’ platform to develop students’ capabilities, skills, and knowledge to face present and future challenges and empower them to react positively towards these challenges and ‘Saaed’ program for traffic systems, along with several other initiatives.
