Abdul Rahim Ali to hold seminar in Paris to refute Human Rights’s Allegations

Egyptian MP, Chairman and Editor-In-Chief of al-Bawaba, Abdul Rahim Ali asserted that attempts by external and foreign forces to destabilize Egypt are doomed to fail. He said that this was due to the current unprecedented alignment of national forces in Egypt, intent on firmly standing up to powers of evil and terrorism, getting financial and media support from certain countries, trying to destabilize Egypt and the Middle East region.

Ali said that he would organize a seminar in Paris, in the middle of next March, to respond to claims made by Human Rights Watch. Invitations will be sent to a number of international human rights organizations, including Human Rights Watch, to send representatives to the seminar. He declared that it was time we, the Egyptians, let the world know what we already know. He said we would not keep silent in the face of those spreading lies about us, anymore. There will always be a response, supported by facts and irrefutable proof, to any report coming out from any organization targeting Egypt.

Abdul Rahim Ali said that such lies are promoted by countries financing such organizations and giving a safe haven for members of a terrorist organization running away from justice. Those countries, he added, are not happy with the stability that Egypt enjoys. This rabid propaganda campaign, according to Ali, comes at a time when our armed forces and police force are in the middle of their fight to eradicate terrorism. This is being achieved, he said, by our valiant sons, the heroes of the Egyptian armed forces and police, who are writing with their blood and sweat glorious annals of the Egyptian fight for freedom.

Responding to what has been said about cases of alleged vanishing of certain individuals, he said that many of those individuals got killed in Syria and in Iraq, where they had joined Daesh (ISIS), while others, accused of anti-government provocations and/or planning new terrorist operations, are legally detained, by way of precautionary detention, while investigation is underway.

Abdul Rahim Ali called upon all honest men and women in Egypt and in the whole world to disclose facts to the public opinion and unveil those money-grubbing organizations, asserting that no matter how hard they try, this will come to nought as Egypt will stay adamant, unshakable and indivisible, thanks to its leadership. He said the Egyptian leadership is fully aware of the nature of the current circumstances and is working hard for a better, more stable, more prosperous Egypt, in the face of huge challenges. The leadership, he said, has all the support of an unwavering population, a strong army and a police force that knows exactly what is to be done in this critical moment of Egypt’s history.

Ali concluded the statement that he made today by commending our armed forces, our police. He praised those who sacrificed their lives for the country and expressed deep homage to the Egyptian people that stand in unity behind the patriotic leadership of the country.
