Manpower Minister Mohamed Saffan met on Thursday with his Saudi counterpart Ali bin Nasser Afis on the sidelines of the 4th Islamic Conference of Labour Ministers in Jeddah to review issues to be discussed during the conference.
The conference is held under the rubric “Preparing Joint Workforce Development Strategy” and is participated by 56 Islamic countries.
The Saudi minister welcomed Saffan and his accompanying delegation, hailing the deep-rooted relations between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
During the meeting, they discussed means of boosting bilateral relations and meeting the needs of the Saudi labor market from technical labor.
After the meeting, Saffan said he directed labor advisors in the Egyptian embassy and consulate in Riyadh and Jeddah to hold weekly meetings with Egyptian expatriates to raise the awareness concerning committing to agreements between the labor and their employers. (MENA)
