In statements to MENA, Bechari underlined the importance of the International Awqaf Conference, set to kick off on Monday, under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
He said the conference will witness the launching of an all-out initiative to counter terrorism and exchanging visions among the participating ministers, scholars and religious leaders of the various Islamic countries.
Bechari praised Egypt’s efforts to stand against terrorism and highlighted “Sinai 2018” operations conducted by the Egyptian Armed Forces.
He also pressed for spreading the moderate thought among Islamic communities in the West and working on correcting the wrong concepts about Islam abroad.(MENA)
