A delegation of Egyptians living in Canada expressed their support for the Egyptian leadership, under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
In a statement, the delegation, currently visiting Egypt, expressed confidence in Egypt’s great ability to encounter all challenges, pledging support for the police and army personnel in their full-fledged war on terrorism.
The presidential election, due to take place outside the country on March 16, 17 and 18, will be a great event as Egyptians will go to polling stations at the Egyptian embassies in world countries, the statement added.
On Tuesday, the Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs Ministry organized a visit for the delegation members to the “Multi-religious Compound” in Old Cairo.
The delegation also toured the Mosque of Amr ibn al-Aas that was originally built in 641–642 AD, as well as Saint Virgin Mary’s Coptic Orthodox Church, also known as the Hanging Church, one of the oldest churches in Egypt.
The delegation also visited the Ben Ezra Synagogue, sometimes referred to as the El-Geniza Synagogue or the Synagogue of the Levantines, which is situated in Old Cairo. (MENA)
