Mufti urges Egyptians to participate in presidential polls

Egypt’s Mufti Dr Shawqi Allam has urged all Egyptians to effectively participate in the upcoming presidential election.

This would send a positive message to the world, Allam said Sunday on the sidelines of his visit to Menufiya University to attend a seminar on building integrated characters.

Voters should work their minds when choosing their next president and should always put the country’s best interests first, the mufti noted.

He said the military operation in Sinai is meant to uproot terrorism, stressing the importance of uniting behind the Armed Forces. (MENA)
