Prime Minister Sherif Ismail stressed on Monday that the state is keen to upgrade work inside the Egyptian Radio and TV Union (ERTU), terming it as a “significant edifice”.
The prime minister made the remarks at a meeting held with Head of the National Media Commission Hussein Zein to follow up the general development plan of Maspero during the current and coming phases.
Ismail said that the development process of Maspero should include better management of its human and technical resources, a fact that would contribute to restoring its major role in view of attracting Egyptian viewers, hailing steps undertaken in Maspero to upgrade it including the state-run TV Channel 1.
For his side, Zein shed light on efforts undertaken in Maspero as part of the development plan in view of the technical, financial and administrative aspects. (MENA)
