President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and his Sudanese counterpart Omar el Bashir arrived at Ittihadiya Presidential Palace to start their summit talks.
Bashir was given a red-carpet reception as the national anthems of the two countries were played.
The two presidents reviewed the presidential guards.
Egypt’s top state officials were on hand to welcome the Sudanese president and his accompanying delegation.
Before starting their summit talks, Sisi and Bashir stood for a photo op.
Earlier in the day, President Sisi welcomed Bashir upon his arrival at Cairo International Airport for summit talks on the Egyptian-Sudanese relations.
Bashir’s visit to Cairo comes at a critical time as the two leaders are keen on enhancing bilateral relations in all fields in a way that could achieve the best interests of the two peoples.(MENA)
