Iran’s mullah regime has sought to promote the concepts of the Islamic Revolution since 1979. The regime has been keen on the promotion of revolution’s concepts in Iran’s neighboring countries.
To this end, Tehran has taken advantage of a number of instruments, including political, economic and religious instruments, which attract people in Arab countries in particular.
The Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) is one of the most famous religious institutions, on which the mullah regime is heavily banking to penetrate the neighboring countries culturally.
According to ICRO’s website, the organization aims at the providing of a complete and appropriate image of Iranian and Islamic culture and civilization and to introduce the doctrine of the Ahl al-Bayt.
In Africa, the ICRO held a religious Shia ceremony in Uganda at the Khoja Mosque in Kampala on December 22. The event was attended by the Iranian cultural advisor and a number of Iranian academics.
Abouzar Ebrahimi, the head of ICRO, visited Turkey on December 26 to meet Turkish religious officials, who agreed that Iranian professors to teach in Turkish universities and the publishing of Khomeini’s interpretation of of the Holy Qur’an.
Evidently, Iran’s ICRO has been working on the promotion of Iranian culture worldwide, serving Tehran’s target to penetrate countries culturally and intellectually since the 1979 revolution.
