The Libyan Accord government reaped the fruits of its declared subordination to the Turkish regime and its infringement on the sovereignty of its homeland, with the appearance of signs of defection by its diplomatic missions abroad, the first of which was the exit of the Chargé d’Affairs of the Libyan embassy in Central Africa Hussein Mahmoud Badr last August 3 by announcing his defection and bias in the entire mission Diplomacy to what the armed forces are doing to cleanse the country of terrorism and militias.
In the footsteps of Mahmoud Badr, the Chargé d’Affairs of the State of Libya to Niger, Abdullah Bashir, announced on Monday, February 3, his defection from the government of reconciliation and his total bias to the legitimacy of the Libyan people represented by the House of Representatives and the government emanating from it and its support for the national army in its war against terrorism and armed militias.
The Libyan diplomat said, in a video posted on the Libyan Foreign Ministry’s Facebook page, that he made the decision in view of the exceptional stage the country is going through, and in light of “an attempt to legalize foreign invasion”, referring to the Saraj government’s request for Turkish military intervention.
Bashir added that the Al-Sarraj government had become a hostage to a force aimed at destabilizing Libya’s security and stability, as well as robbing the country’s national decision.
Bashir stressed his bias towards the legitimacy of the Libyan people, represented by the House of Representatives and the government that emerged from it, adding: “Here we must say and confirm that I am the representative of the Libyan state in all its regions.”
He continued by saying: “I declare my support for our national army in its war against terrorism, militias and outlaws, provided that this leads to free and fair elections, allowing for the establishment of a state of law and institutions, restoration of state prestige and sovereignty, and entering a period of prosperity and lasting stability.”
Bashir is the third Libyan diplomat to announce his defection from the Al-Wefaq government militia for its dependence on mercenaries within one month, as Sabri Baraka, Chargé d’Affairs at the embassy of the Fayez al-Sarraj Libyan government in Guinea, announced on Thursday, January 9, his defection from the Al-Wefaq government, as it called for Turkish colonialism, stressing his support for the interim government, parliament and the Libyan army led by Field Marshal Khalifa Hifter.
Baraka said in a video posted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Provisional Government, on its Facebook page: “The homeland is the place where attempts at sedition and betrayal are broken, and the word homeland is not a passing word or a commodity that is bought and sold, and here we see what is called the Skhirat government calling for Turkish colonialism.”
He believed that it saves it from the wrath of the free people rejecting dependency and colonialism.
The source said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is in contact with diplomatic missions after it sent them urgent messages inviting them to join the legitimacy of the House of Representatives instead of the Saraj government, which lost its legal, constitutional and legal legitimacy in accordance with the decisions of the elected parliament.
The process of defections from the Al-Wefaq government is not limited to diplomats only, but also extended to several brigades and security forces that announced their support for the interim government and the Libyan National Army.
The last of which was the announcement of the 604th Infantry Battalion in Sirte on Thursday, January 9th, the separation from the Misurata Militia, following accusations of treason and facilitating the entry of the National Army to Sirte and enabling it to control the city, so that this battalion joins the Libyan army.
The battalion decided its readiness to fight within the Libyan army, and its willingness to confront the forces of the government of reconciliation, so that the country and the people would survive.
