Bahrain Center for Strategic and International Studies (DARAST) organized a seminar on Qatar’s policy on the Middle East, entitled “Qatar is the Patron of Anarchy and Crisis in the Middle East”.
The seminar highlighted on Qatar’s history of supporting terrorism since 1995 and it’s signing of the Riyadh Agreement in 2014, which has increased its terrorist activities in recent years.
The seminar also discussed the security of the Arab Gulf and the scenarios of the hostile policy of Qatar and presented Arab models of the Qatari involvement in destabilizing the Gulf and the Arab world.
“Doha has established itself as one of the tools of Anarchy and division projects in the region,” said Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed, head of the board of trustees of DARAST.
“Qatar’s threat to Arab national security and the security of the Gulf, in particular, does not stem from self-strength, but as a loose, penetrating limb that tries to inflict the greatest damage within the limits of its role” he added.
He also said “Qatar represents an extended crisis in the Middle East, where the Qatari system has the ability to manufacture crises that target the GCC countries and the pivotal Arab countries.
Bahrain has recently unveiled new evidence condemning the Qatari policy support of terrorist cells and groups and its strong opposition to reforms in the Kingdom, which has lagged behind in the political process and democratic development.
“Bahrain, under the leadership of King Hamad Bin Isa Al Khalifa, has created its own spring through a comprehensive project that is new and progressive in line with popular aspirations and has succeeded in achieving high international development rates, especially in the field of human development.
He added: “There is no doubt that there is an important role for the centers of studies that are concerned with security and strategic affairs in order to support the efforts of the moderate countries and contribute to building a stable and balanced regional framework, and this effort requires strengthening partnerships between the study centers.
We hope this seminar be a creative initiative and constructive contributions that will enhance opportunities for crisis prevention and the development and maintenance of collective security.
