President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi asserted on Tuesday Egypt’s keenness on boosting strategic cooperation with Eritrea in all fields.
During a meeting with visiting Eritrean President Isaias Afwerki, Sisi stressed the importance of implementing joint cooperation projects in the fields of agriculture, electricity, health and trade.
He also praised high-level coordination between the two countries at international forums to solve regional issues and face common threats, atop of which is terrorism, presidential spokesman Bassam Rady said.
Afwerki, for his part, hailed the leading role played by Egypt in the region and its keenness to achieve development in Africa.
He also voiced his country’s desire to intensify cooperation with Egypt in all fields in favor of the two countries’ interests. (MENA)
