Participants at “Egypt Can 3 ” conference started flocking Sunday to Luxor as Egyptian experts in the fields of irrigation, agriculture and water resources are expected to take part. The conference is held under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Sherif Ismail later in the day.
The event is organized by the Ministry of Immigration and Expatriate Affairs in cooperation with the Irrigation Ministry.
The two-day conference will tackle issues of concern to the Egyptian countryside, especially in the irrigation and water resources domains.
Representatives of Egyptian ministries of agriculture, electricity, environment, industry, housing and military production in addition to a number of relevant organizations will take part.
The conference is set to discuss challenges facing water resources in Egypt and suggested solutions, the role of new technologies in facing these challenges, food security, water safety and energy mechanisms and achieving sustainable development.
This is the third conference of its kind. The first one was held in Hurghada in December. The second one, dubbed “Egyptian Women Can” was held in Cairo in July.(MENA)
