The Egyptian MP Abdel Rahim Ali, head of the Middle East Center for Studies, met the former French interior minister and current member of the European Parliament and leader of the Republican Party, Bryce Ortovo, who discussed the role of the center in combating terrorism and confronting the financiers of the terrorist groups.
Abdel Rahim Ali explained the strategies and plans to confront terrorism in the Middle East region, especially in Egypt and Libya. He commended the Egyptian strategy of combating terrorism in Sinai and the role of the armed forces and police under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
Bryce Ortovo, and Ali, agreed on the need to cooperate, especially in terms of explaining the new strategies of terrorism, after the urging, and the role of the Muslim Brotherhood in Europe through the platform of the European Parliament. At the end of the meeting, the two MPs agreed to meet in mid-April to activate that cooperation.
The meeting was attended by MP Emeric Chabrad, member of the European Parliament. These meetings are part of the role played by the Middle East Center for Studies in Paris in correcting the misconceptions about what is happening in the East region and the reality of terrorist groups and their supporters.
