Egyptian Ambassador to Kuwait Tariq al-Qouni opened the electoral commission in the presidential election 2018 amid a large crowd of voters who have gathered in front of the embassy since 6 am.
The Egyptian ambassador praised the large numbers of the community that came from early morning to vote, noting that the first day witnessed thousands of Egyptian citizens.
The ambassador reflects the political awareness of the Egyptian citizen, which motivates people to participate positively in Egypt.
With regard to the number of voters on Friday, al-Qouni said that he cannot determine the number now pointing out that the participation was large and impressive, which led to continue to vote beyond the ninth hour, allowing all those on the premises of the embassy to vote.
Al-Qouni added that the Egyptian Embassy officials immediately coordinated with the Kuwaiti authorities. The problem was resolved within 15 minutes after the allocation of another corridor to exit the buses and the transfer of voters to the embassy’s headquarters.
The Ambassador of Egypt to Kuwait praised the keenness of thousands of voters to accompany their children during the voting process to develop a sense of national responsibility in the hearts of children.

It is noteworthy that the Egyptian community in Kuwait provided “buses” to transfer voters to the embassy from points of gathering in all Kuwaiti provinces, not to mention the participation of volunteers from the community to facilitate the entry and exit of voters.
