King Salman bin Abdulaziz has sent a cable of condolences to Tunisian President Kais Saied following a deadly terrorist attack in Tunis.
Suicide attackers on Friday struck outside the US embassy in the Tunisian capital, killing a police officer and wounding six other people.
King Salman denounced this criminal act, affirming that the Kingdom stands beside Tunisia and its people. He also wished a quick recovery for the wounded and extended condolences on behalf of the Saudi government and people.
Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, also sent a cable of condolences to the Tunisian president, decrying the attack and hoping for a quick recovery for the injured.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs denounced the terrorist blast and reiterated Riyadh’s stance against extremism, violence, and terrorism. It asserted that the Kingdom backs the Tunisian Republic in combating all that causes instability.
The United Arab Emirates and Bahrain condemned the criminal acts in Tunis and expressed solidarity with Tunisia along with the rejection of all forms of violence and terrorism that cause instability and contradict humanitarian and religious values.
The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stressed Egypt’s rejection of all types of terrorism, violence and extremism, and its solidarity with Tunisia.
Moreover, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation denounced the terrorist attack and expressed support to Tunisia’s government and people along with its terrorism-combating efforts.
Mishaal bin Fahm al-Salami, Speaker of the Arab Parliament, extended the parliament’s solidarity with Tunisia in its war against terrorism and terrorist groups. The Arab Parliament hailed the Tunisian armed forces’ efforts to maintain security and stability, and the safety of citizens.
Egypt’s Grand Mufti Shawki Allam affirmed that the Islamic sharia rejects all forms of attacks on innocent people.
