In January 2014, Abdul Salam founded the Center for Strategic and Diplomatic Studies The center played a major role in carrying out the plots of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ghannouchi in Libya.
The Ankara-based Foundation for Political, Economic and Social Research, or SETA, has recently joined forces with the Tunisian Center for Strategic and Diplomatic Studies in order to boost the Brotherhood’s presence in Libya.
SETA is working on sending a number of Tunisian engineers and technologists through the Libyan Center for Research and Development in Tripoli, to Libya to support the Libya’s Government of National Accord, which is led by Fayez al-Sarraj.
Moreover, Murat Aslan, military advisor to the Turkish Presidency, has revealed that Turkey, through SETA, is financing the training of technical experts of Tunisian engineers and sending them to Libya.
He said that some official institutions in Tripoli sign contracts with them, and that the Tunisian Center for Strategic and Diplomatic Studies is supervising the operations.
Aslan added that the first group of Tunisian engineers started work in Tripoli in February, noting that a second group was scheduled to begin training of 48 engineers in Turkey, but the outbreak of COVID-19 has delayed the process. Aslan pointed out that the second group of technical experts would be sent to Misrata and other Libyan cities to support the Fayez al-Sarraj-led government in Tripoli.
