Sisi: Egypt looks to benefit from OECD’s anti-corruption programs

Egypt sets anti-corruption programs a top priority and is keen on cooperating with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) in this regard, President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi said Wednesday.

Sisi’s statement came during Sisi’s meeting with the OECD Secretary General Angel Gurría in Paris, on the third day of his official visit to France.

During the meeting, President Sisi praised level of cooperation between Egypt and OECD, especially for what the organization provides from technical support, studies and reports in different fields, Presidential Spokesperson Alaa Youssef said in a Wednesday statement.

He further highlighted Egypt’s keenness on benefiting from OECD expertise in the field, which will consequently have positive impact matching the country’s 2030 strategic sustainable development.

For his part, Gurria expressed satisfaction over coordination and cooperation with Egypt which is maintained for 10 years now, said the spokesman.
