Several countries, international entities and religious institutions have condemned the terrorist attack on security forces in the Wahat desert of Giza.
Dozens of Egyptian security personnel were killed and injured Friday during a raid on a militant hideout in Giza. The death toll has risen to at least 35, according to Egyptian officials.
British Ambassador to Egypt John Casson also expressed condolences to the families of the policemen killed.
On his twitter page, the ambassador asserted that Egypt and the UK are standing side by side to confront terrorism.

The German embassy in Cairo tweeted saying that nothing can justify that act of terrorism and denounced the attack.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed its strong condemnation of the terrorist attacks on security forces, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Oman also condemned the terrorist attack, expressing its solidarity with Egypt till ending the scourge of terrorism; the Omani news agency quoted an Omani Foreign Ministry statement as having said.
Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah sent a cable of condolences to President Abdel Fattah Al-sisi over the death of the policemen in Giza.
King Abdullah II of Jordan also denounced in a tweet the terror attack on Egyptian policemen.
The Bahrain Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed solidarity of the Kingdom of Bahrain with Egypt in combating violence, extremism and terrorism and its support for the measures taken to establish security and peace, renewing the Kingdom’s firm stance which rejects terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
The UAE denounced in the strongest terms the deadly terror attack in Egypt’s Giza province.
Anwar Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, assured that the UAE stood in solidarity with the Egyptian government in their fight to combat terrorism and extremism.
“The Palestinian people stand by the heroic Egyptian army in its war against violence and terrorists,” the general commissioner of the Higher Committee for Tribal Affairs in Gaza, Akef al-Masri said.
European Union (EU) Ambassador here Ivan Surkoš on Saturday said the EU is supporting Egypt in its war against terrorism.
In a tweet, he extended condolences to the families of the victims who were killed in a Friday’s terrorist attack in Wahat area that left scores of policemen dead and wounded.

The Arab league also condemned in the strongest terms the heinous attack against security forces in Giza.
In a statement issued on Friday, Al-Azhar grand imam Sheikh Ahmed el-Tayyeb mourned the police personnel who were killed in a terrorist attack.
Al-Azhar expressed full solidarity with the armed forces and police alongside all state agencies in their effort to eradicate terrorism.
