Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr received Kuwaiti Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah, the assistant undersecretary of Al-Diwan Al-Amiri Undersecretary’s Office Affairs, at the ministry’s headquarters in Salah Salem.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed expanding Kuwaiti investments in Egypt and the possibility of setting up joint ventures. Al-Sabah expressed his interest in investing in the hotel sector as part of his keenness to support the Egyptian economy and to contribute to youth employment.
He praised the legislative and institutional steps taken by Egypt in bettering the investment environment, citing the passing of the recently drafted investment law.
For her part, Nasr asserted the remarkable Egyptian-Kuwaiti economic relations and the joint cooperation between the two countries, confirming that Egypt is pulling all stops to remove any obstacles facing Kuwaiti investors.
The minister stressed that there are many major investment opportunities in national projects, such as the axis of development of the Suez Canal, the New Administrative Capital and South Sinai.
