Dozens of books have been issued from Egypt to discuss the history and ideology of Muslim Brotherhood since its establishment in 1928 and their position in the other Arab countries, including the Gulf States.
Saudi researcher Nayef Al-Asaker discussed the role of Muslim Brotherhood and their role to destabilize the Gulf States in his book titled “Political Islam Movements: Muslim Brotherhood”.
The first part of the book discussed the history of Muslim Brotherhood since its establishment by Ahmed Al-Sokary and Hassan Al-Banna until Al-Asaker explained the points of disagreement between Al-Banna and Al-Sokary that pushed the later to split from the group.
The first part of the book is composed of eleven chapters; the first discussed whether the Muslim Brotherhood is a group or a political part, the second explained the relation between members and supreme guide, the third introduced the major goals of the group.
However, the third chapter discussed the approach adopted by Muslim Brotherhood to recruit new members and to qualify them for leadership. The fourth chapter clarified the different phases of preaching. The other chapters discussed the relations between the group and the west, their economic resources and the role Muslim Brotherhood plays in Saudi Arabia in addition to the ways to confront their expansion.
The writer was keen to document each information and attributing them to their original sources, whether from the books issued by the group’s leaders, those who split from the group or historians who revealed important details about the group’s approach in dealing with different issues.
The book also discussed the position adopted by Muslim Brotherhood from the Arab rulers and how they planned to overthrow the ruling regimes to declare their caliphate.
