The U.S Food and Drug Administration (FDA), has approved “Juluca”, that is the first complete treatment regimen that contains a combination of two drugs to treat some adults who infected with HIV-1, rather than the drugs which includes 3 or more treatments.
“Juluca” is a tablet containing two previously approved drugs (dulotigrafir and relepiferrin) for the treatment of adults who infected with HIV (HIV-1).
“Reducing the number of drugs in any human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) system can help reduce patient poisoning,” said Debra Berenkrant, director of the antiviral products division at the FDA Drug and Drug Evaluation Center.
