Dr. Ahmed Yousef, the Executive Director of the Middle East Office in Paris, member of the Scientific Academy, the French Consul in Alexandria and some French communities in Egypt and a number of executive, scientific and popular leaders attend the celebration.
The festival aims to put the city of Rashid under the umbrella of UNESCO, and make it an open museum for its Islamic monuments, houses and mosques, which is one third of the Islamic monuments in the world, and the second Islamic cities after Cairo, in addition to “Abu Shahin mill and Azzuz Bath archeologists as well as Coptic and Pharaonic monuments, and the distinctive location of Rashid, where the Nile meets the Mediterranean Sea.
This comes within the implementation of the President Abdul Fattah al-Sisi during the Fourth Youth Conference in Alexandria, when he asked for putting the city of Rashid on the global tourist map within 3 years.
