Sharif Ismail travel for treatment and the president will appoint an acting prime minister

Egyptian Prime Minister Sharif Ismail travel for treatment in Germany on a three-week trip.

A spokesman for the Council of Ministers, Ashraf Sultan, that Ismail will travel on Thursday to Germany according to the news agency “Middle East”.

Ashraf Sultan, the cabinet’s spokesman, said the president will appoint an acting prime minister on Thursday or Sunday. He added that one of the ministers may be chosen for this duty until Ismail returns to Egypt.

Ismail is undergoing a gastrointestinal operation in Germany, according to Sultan, who confirmed that the prime minister will resume his activities after completing the treatment trip.
