Arab League (AL) Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit on Wednesday said that education is necessary for the welfare of peoples.
In his speech to the inaugural session of an Arab higher education ministers conference, that was read out on his behalf by his assistant Ambassador Badr Elaly, he added that education is a real asset for countries that are seeking development and progress.
The educational systems in Arab countries are confronting immense challenges due to the changes that are being witnessed in all aspects of life in the today’s world because of modern technology and the telecommunication and information revolution. (MENA)
