The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum announced on Sunday that it had succeeded in operating the two burners at the land treatment plant in the gas field of “Zohr” and that an experimental gas was pumped from the national gas network to test the gas lines in preparation for starting pump gas from the offshore wells.
“The two burners were successfully operated at the land treatment plant in the backfield and an experimental gas was pumped from the national gas network to test the gas lines in preparation for starting pump gas from the offshore wells in the backfield in the next few days,” Egyptian Oil Minister Tariq al-Mulla said in a statement on Sunday.
“This is done within the framework of the first phase of the field, which is estimated to produce about 350 million cubic feet per day.”
