Sisi stresses importance of finalizing transportation network of administrative capital

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi affirmed Monday the need to complete the transportation network in the new administrative capital before moving the ministries and institutions to it.

These remarks were made during Sisi’s meeting with Acting Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Planning Minister Hala El Saeed and her Deputy Saleh Abdul Rahman.

Sisi directed to raise the efficiency of the government services and provide them online to the citizens. He also directed to follow up periodically the indicators of the economic performance in different sectors in order to achieve Egypt’s 2030 vision.

The minister of planning noted that the economic growth reached 5.2 percent in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, compared with the same period in the last year, as the economic growth reached 3.4 percent, according to Presidential Spokesman Ambassador Bassem Rady.

El Saeed added that the latest economic reform decisions contributed to increasing the rates of exports and reducing imports and inflation rates. Also mega national projects boosted the total investments, he said.

The executive position of the administrative reform plan was reviewed, during the meeting, which includes several axes, like legislative reform, institutional development, promoting human capacities, improving government services and setting up a database, Rady added.

The position of the suggested mechanism of relocating the ministries and governmental institutions to the new administrative capital and its stages were briefed, where the ministries with similar activities will be near, the presidential spokesman said.

An online guide for the citizen to investment was issued, which helps them to know relevant information on investment in projects which are established in the different governorates as well as an industrial investment map with a database on the industrial sector for local and foreign investors, El Saeed stated.
