The Egyptian FM heads the Egyptian delegation at OIC

Sameh Shukri heads the Egyptian delegation at the extraordinary summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Istanbul.

The Egyptian Foreign Ministry stated that Shukri will review during the summit the Egyptian position rejecting the resolution and the repercussions of it and the outcome of the contacts made by Egypt to limit the negative consequences of this resolution, the latest of which is the Egyptian-Palestinian summit held in Cairo on Monday.

The decision on Jerusalem was taken by the US administration resulted in a wave of condemnations and protests in Palestine and Arab and Islamic countries and a number of Western countries.

On Wednesday, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan called for an emergency summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), calling on the United States to immediately reverse its decision on Jerusalem.
