Higher Education Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar said Friday that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had issued directives to attract globally distinguished universities amid an expansion plan in the academic field in Egypt.
The New Administrative Capital is planned to be a hub for higher education and scientific research in the Middle East and Africa through hosting branches of international prominent universities, Abdel Ghaffar said during his visit to the British Liverpool University.
The Egyptian political leadership is keen on developing the fields of higher education, scientific research, science and technology in the New Administrative Capital, he added. (MENA)
