Egypt’s Ambassador to Germany Badr Abdel Ati said Sunday that 99 Egyptian export companies will participate in “Fruit Logistica” fresh produce trade show held in Berlin on Feb 7-9.
Abdel Ati told MENA that the exhibition is considered to be the world’s largest for exporters and importers of agricultural products.
He said that fruit and vegetable products constitute 23 percent of Egypt’s overall exports to Germany, which reflects the importance of the agricultural sector for boosting Egypt’s international trade.
He stressed the keenness of the Egyptian embassy and the commercial office to coordinate with the Agriculture Export Council to boost Egypt’s participation in the exhibition.
The ambassador said that the volume of trade exchange between Egypt and Germany reached €5.5 billion, an increase of 26 percent compared to 2016. (MENA)
