Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov underlined on Monday the important role Egypt and Tunisia play to settle the Libyan crisis.
Addressing a forum on the Russian role in the Middle East, Lavrov said Russia appreciates the role Egypt and Tunisia play to settle the Libyan crisis .
He said Russia backs UN envoy to Libya Ghasan Salama’s efforts to achieve stability in the North African country.
Lavrov underlined the importance of preserving the sovereignty of the Syrian state and the integrity of its territories.
He said some violations were detected in the de-escalation areas in Syria but Russia is working hard to contain them to reach a political settlement to the Syrian crisis.
He urged the international community to offer aid to revive the Syrian economy.
