Egyptian expats are urged to “positively and effectively” participate in the voting process in the upcoming presidential election, Immigration Minister Nabila Makram said Wednesday.
All parties will work together to identify and address problems that might face Egyptian voters abroad, Makram said in statements.
Egyptian expats are expected to cast their votes on March 16-18 and in the run-off on April 19-21, the minister added.
Makram had recently met with chairman of the National Election Authority (NEA) Lasheen Ibrahim to coordinate efforts regarding overseas voting.
The NEA will be receiving requests and inquiries of Egyptian expats on its website – https://www.elections.eg and will act to quickly respond to them, Makram made it clear. (MENA)
