Navy forces secure the strategic directions around the clock

Brigadier General Walid Attia, the Egyptian Navy, said that the Navy forces are providing 24-hour security to all strategic directions while carrying out training and operational maneuvers in different directions, maintaining the highest combat readiness for their units.

He also added, the navy forces continue coordinate and exchange of information with the security services to complete the security work system.

Attia pointed out that the naval forces were pushing a naval unit supported by a helicopter carrier, loaded with special naval forces, helicopters and air defense elements on the eastern strategic axis, to confront the terrorist elements.

This backing to secure the Suez Canal entrance and landing the special naval forces on the northern coast of Sinai, from the direction of the sea in order to tighten the maritime blockade from Port Said to Rafah.

The navy forces try to cut off the terrorist’s supply lines and preventing the infiltration of terrorist elements to and from the area of operations.

Attia also reviewed the efforts exerted on the northern strategic direction, where the naval forces are intensifying the procedures of securing the Suez Canal to secure the maritime transport lines in the territorial waters, in cooperation with the border guards.

On the western strategic direction, the naval forces impose maritime control to prevent the infiltration of any terrorist elements across the western maritime border and enhance maritime security by preventing organized crime from smuggling arms, drugs and goods other than customs duties and illegal immigration.
