Russia will resume direct flights to Cairo in the second half of February, said Russian Transport Minister Maksim Sokolov.
Sputnik news agency quoted the minister as saying in statements on Friday that Egyptian-Russian talks on resuming flights to Cairo are still ongoing.
Negotiations between the two sides are still underway to operate five weekly flights between Cairo and Moscow, the minister said.
On Monday, Russia’s Domodedovo Airport announced its schedule for February flights, which included the launch of the first flight to Cairo International Airport in years on February 6. (MENA)
