CAIRO – Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Board and Editor-in-Chief of al-Bawaba News Abdelrahim Ali said Sunday that Egypt suffered an all-out siege following the June 30 revolution.
He said the European Union banned the export of arms and equipment to Egyptian police following the revolution.
He added at a debate with some western journalists on private TV al-Kahira Wal Nas that Egypt succeeded in overcoming all these obstacles.
Now, Ali said, Egypt plays a great role in solving most of the problems of the region.
Ali noted that Egypt works to reformulate conditions in the Middle East region with an eye on its traditional position of leadership in the region.
