Local Development Minister Abu Bakr al Gendy asserted Monday that the huge voter turnout since the early hours of the morning is both encouraging and promising, adding that it also came as a testament to the Egyptians’ sense of responsibility to stabilize their country.
The minister also commended the Egyptian people saying that they are now engaged in making history by choosing their leader in a free election.
In a press release today, Gendy said that the Administrative Development Ministry’s Operations Room had confirmed to him that all polling stations were open on time and equipped with all necessary conveniences.
Further, Gendy pointed out that the ministry’s operation room is following up the electoral process around-the-clock to ensure that voters get all the comforts they need as they cast their votes in the presidential polls.
