CAIRO – Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Board and Editor-in-Chief of al-Bawaba News Abdelrahim Ali said Sunday that US newspapers, such as The New York Times, have their own agendas, which is why they should not be trusted.
He added at a debate on private TV al-Kahira Wal Nas that some Arab countries did not boycott Qatar like Egypt; Saudi Arabia; the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain did, because these countries have their own strategic interests in Qatar.
He said the Qatari issue is as complicated as that of Syria.
Turkey and Iran back Qatar because they serve their own national interests by doing this, Ali said.
He said the Arab Quartet Qatar had decided to confront Qatari interference in their own affairs by boycotting Doha.
