PARIS – Chairman of the Center for Middle East Studies in Paris (CEMO) Abdel Rahim Ali said Monday that the Muslim Brotherhood considers women to be fit only for sexual pleasure and human beings whose only job is to bring up children at home.
They do not believe, he said, that women are fit for either work or politics.
He added at a conference organized by the CEMO in French capital Paris on the dangers of Brotherhood thinking on Western societies and values that the head of the Women Section inside the Muslim Brotherhood movement was accused of sexual harassment.
Mohamed Abdullah al-Khatib, known as the Brotherhood’s mufti, Ali said, spoke against the presence of women at positions of leadership because they are not superior to men.
He added that Prophet Muhammad of Islam used to put stress on the importance of the role of women in society.
