PARIS – International counterterrorism expert Richard Labeviere called Monday for the presence of concerted efforts to confront terrorist organizations, in general, and Daesh, in particular.
These organizations, he said, pose serious threats to international security.
He called at a conference organized by the Middle East Center for Studies in Paris (CEMO) in French capital Paris on the dangers of the thinking of the Muslim Brotherhood on Western societies and values for dealing seriously with fledgling terrorist groups before they become stronger.
Daesh, he said, puts the whole world in danger. Everybody, he added, should be aware of this fact.
Labeviere said former French president Francois Hollande had started his own war on terrorism in France.
“We are badly in need of an effective war on terrorism,” Labeviere said. “Spreading justice is a good way of fighting terror.”
Titled “The Danger of Muslim Brotherhood’s Thoughts on Western Values”, the conference is attended by the members of CEMO’s Consulting Committee.
Those attending included international counterterrorism expert Roland Jacquard.
They also included journalists Atmane Tazaghart and Ian Hamel, who are focused on covering terrorist and takfiri groups.
A host of Arab and European public figures is also attending the event.
