Afghan officials said four people were killed and another three wounded by gunfire when they were praying in a mosque in Afghanistan’s eastern Khost province, ABC News reported Thursday.
ABC News quoted spokesman for the provincial governor Talib Mangal as saying that gunmen opened fire from a car, when over 15 people were praying in the mosque located in Khost’s Mando Zayi district, while reasons behind the attack are still unclear.
Provincial chief police spokesman Basir Beina said an investigation has been opened, but no one was detained so far, while no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
