CAIRO – 14 June 2018: The Joint Yemeni Resistance Forces have shelled Houthis- controlled areas in Nakhilah district of Hodeidah, the fourth largest city in Yemen, on Thursday, Egypt’s state-owned news agency MENA reported.
Clashes broke out between the Resistance forces and Houthis rebels in Nakhilah on Thursday, civil sources said, adding that resistance forces recaptured largest areas so near to Hodeidah Airport, where Houthi rebels shelter.
The Arab-backed forces also restored other areas in the city including Al- Qabdah, Shujairah, and Moesili station.
The port city of Hodeidah, western Yemen, was controlled by the Iran-backed militias of Houthis since 2015. However, the joint resistance forces have launched a massive military operation against the rebels early June.
