On June 29, 2014, the emergence of the Islamic State (Daesh) organization was announced, for humanity to live a new chapter of brutality, bloodshed and violence. However, it is not like its predecessors. The four years, which represented the age of this organization and its glory, were the bloodiest and most ferocious in the life of the terrorist organizations. The leaders of this group created thousands of ways to commit massacres that words cannot describe.
The history will stand, monitoring and analyzing how the owners of these tricks thought about them, excelling the most bitter and abhorrent demons. Ranging between the slaughter of humans, and the booby-trapping of animals, Daesh continued its attacks and violations against God’s rules and the instructions of His Messenger Muhammad (Peace Be upon Him). This comes in spite of the organization’s claim of belonging to Islam by naming itself: “The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria”.
Although the demons of the organization exploited the fatwas of terrorists as well as extremist views issued by some jurists to justify the killing and terrorizing of human beings, they are completely incapable of finding a religious justification of killing the animals by planting explosives in them, releasing them to death amid human gatherings and taking innocent lives.
Moreover, even though the killing of a person without right is a major sin, because the Prophet (Peace Be upon Him) said, “One is still in the expanse of his religion unless he did not kill someone.” The discussion of Daesh fighters, in this case, is absurd. Their extremist beliefs make it almost impossible to discourage them from these despicable acts. But what is their position on the keenness of all scholars, without exception, on the proper treatment of animals? Even the honorable Sunnah confirms that caring for animals can send man to heaven and mistreating them can send man to hell.
Training children on slaughtering!
The first of Daesh’s sins against animals, according to the US-based Los Angeles Times newspaper, is that the organization set up training centers, training children to slaughter, using a huge number of animals of different species.
Through its various accounts of social networking sites, the organization has published a shocking series of videos depicting these heinous crimes, whether training children on brutality and bloodshed or killing thousands of innocent animals.
The organization depends on providing birds with small explosive belts in the face of the warplanes bombed in Syria and Iraq. They train these birds on targeting warplanes, and bombing them, which makes them suicide birds.
The idea is derived from what the United States did during the Second World War, when booby-trapped bats and guided missiles were used to strike the enemy strongholds. Daesh is imitating this, violating the teachings of the Islamic religion.
Prophetic prohibition
Dr. Abdul Ghani al-Gharib, professor of jurisprudence at Al-Azhar University in Cairo, said that Prophet Muhammad forbade taking living things for playing. Moslem bin Abdullah bin Abbas narrated that Prophet Muhammed (Peace Be upon Him) said: “Do not take any living things for your own purposes.”
The Prophet (Peace Be upon Him) cursed the one who used the living things for personal purposes.
Scholars also agreed on the fact that exploiting any animal without a necessity or without a religious interest is not religiously permissible. However, religion obliges humans to well treat animals and to take good care of them.
Animal Rights Document
Dr. Mahmoud Qamar, a professor of Islamic civilization at the University of Zagazig in Sharqiya province in the Egyptian Delta, said that Islam provided a set of rights for animals. Scientists believe that such rights are considered the first document in history protecting animal rights according to modern standards. Islam provided to animals the right to be taken care of while saying that neglecting animals is a legitimate reason for tormenting humans in hell. It is well known in the fundamentals of the religion that the punishment is being executed in a matter of inviolability, and thus negligence in caring for animals and birds is haram (impermissible) in Islam.
The Prophet (Peace Be upon Him) said: “A woman was tortured because she mistreated a kitten until she died of starvation. She was sent to hell.”
