The former Mufti of the Libyan state, Sadeq Ghariani, came across the scenes of his previous appearances in support of the militias. In front of the cameras of his weekly program Islam and Life to address the reasons for the outbreak of clashes last September south of the capital Tripoli, which resulted in 115 dead and 560 injured, in addition to the displacement of about 5 thousand families from the areas of confrontation, according to the data of the United Nations mission.
The media affiliated to the muslim brotherhood used al-Ghariani criticizim to introduce al-Ghariani as human rights’ activist as he criticized the prisons of the militias in which they practiced repressive actions. Ghariani also referred to financial and administrative corruption involving the international militias in Tripoli, some even held official positions, warning of «more wars» in Tripoli if the militias ignored the reasons for the confrontation.
The clashes begin on August 28, when a militia from the town of Tarhouna (southeast of the capital), called the 7th Brigade, entered the southern entrance of Tripoli, claiming that the militias were in control of the capital.
The confrontations continued for a month, amid the entry of militias from Tripoli and its surroundings into the scene. Which upset the movers of the militias from abroad, such as Sadiq Ghariani, as these clashes represented a defect in the home front of the militants, what they considered to be in the interest of the Libyan army front led by Marshal Khalifa Hafter, to restore the western part of the hands of militants.
Although the predictions of Ghariani, in terms of the Trabelsi scene refers to renewed wars and the most severe may occur between the militias if not addressed the reasons, did not disagree with the Libyan researcher, Mohamed Zubaidi, who told El-Marga’a that the scene in the capital is already on the flare.
While al-Ghoriani’s interpretation of his predictions revolves around prisons and militia crises, al-Zubaidi’s interpretation is different. He said that all that moved the militias at the end of August and throughout September was materialistic. “So as long as these ambitions remain, the confrontation will continue.”
He pointed out that the “seventh General” causing the movement in the south in igniting the scene, was dissolved by the Presidential Council in April this year, and on the basis of this decision has been deprived of the material gains that are managed on the militias in Tripoli from parties and external deals, “involving Turkey and the Muslim Brotherhood Dominated the Libyan Central Bank ».
Regarding Al-Ghuraini’s talk about the prisons, al-Zubaidi said that he did not intend to be an advocate of the rights of innocent people as he had hoped, pointing out that he meant in particular the prison of Muaitika in the eastern part of the capital.
He explained that this prison runs a militia called «forces of deterrence», a Salafist ideology, and arrested about 500 people in favor of the guerrillas. He referred to repeated attempts by members of the Ghariani to break into the prison and to release their comrades, but every time they failed to break into the prison.
