The Muslim Brotherhood organization in Libya has circulated lies about the Libyan parliament’s intention to issue a list of terrorists. The Brotherhood has mentioned names of people, who are not terrorists, and will not be on the proposed list.
Head of the defense and national security parliamentary committee Talal al-Mayhoub accused the Brotherhood of lying blaming the organization’s networking groups of fabricating these lists to incite public opinion against Libya’s legitimate parliament.
Al-Mayhoub said: “The Brotherhood aims at driving a wedge between the parliament and the Libyan people. The fake lists included names of national figures that cannot be classified as terrorists”.
He noted that that the purpose of such fake lists is to make a fuss prior to the issuance of a list of terrorists, including the leaders of the Muslim Brotherhood as well as individuals and entities associated with al-Qaeda.
Al-Mayhoub has made it clear that the Brotherhood has units for psychological warfare to frustrate the Libyan army.
Dr. Said El-Lawindy, an expert on international relations at Al-Ahram Center for Political and Strategic Studies, said the Muslim Brotherhood is a large organization in Libya and controls almost everything there.
“The Brotherhood controls the illegitimate Libyan National Accord Government, which has changed the terrorism list and put the blame on the Libyan parliament,” El-Lawindy told THE REFERENCE.
The Brotherhood’s branch in Libya has done so many wrong things to the Libyan National Army, and it will not stop these bad acts because it is seeking to wipe out the Libyan National Army and destroy the entire state,” he added.
