The announcement of the results of a probe into a crackdown on a protest sit-in outside the defense ministry complex in Khartoum has been delayed, according to the investigating committee.
The postponement was attributed by the panel’s spokesman Abdel-Rahim Badr Eddin to further scrutiny and investigations involving several parties.
He reiterated that the panel, formed by the military council, is committed to holding all those responsible for the attack accountable, noting that the panel is different from the one assigned by the general prosecutor to probe the deadly incidents, which occurred on June 3.
