The awaited document initiative: Jordan’s MB trying to beautify deformed face of group

A spokesman for the Islamic Action Front (IAF), the political wing of the Muslim Brotherhood in Jordan, said that the political document will be released to the public during a press conference to present its contents and highlight what was stated in it.

He indicated that it would establish a new speech and would include social, political, economic and intellectual, for a relationship that establishes dialogue in search of strong consensuses and partnerships.

Jordanian newspapers have revealed that the group in Jordan is preparing to make unprecedented concessions in exchange for partnership, consensus and integration with the rest of the forces, and answers all the questions posed to the Islamists not in Jordan but also in the Arab region.

Expected document

According to the sources, the document will clarify the position of the Muslim Brotherhood on the rights of women and children and freedom of expression, and discuss their position also from the establishment of partnerships and mergers in the political community, as well as from the rest of the left-wing parties.

It is believed that the document will address the freedoms of expression and criticism and the fundamental position of extremism and terrorism and legitimate schools of thought from which the jurisprudence of jihadist movements and their attitude towards other sects and religions began.

The document explains the definition of the Islamic Movement (the group and its political wing, the Islamic Action Front Party) as a national movement in the local Jordanian national dimension, which is not contrary to the Arab and Islamic issues.

The sources pointed out that the document clearly reflects the political principles of the group away from the personal jurisprudence, and strengthens the internal situation of the group after it is issued, to become a reference.

They pointed out that the historical slogan “Islam is the solution” on which the group was based for many years, was not addressed in the document. The document confirms that they will not give up on this slogan and the presence of its performance through its application and advocacy.

However, they recognize its absence in moments of meeting with the other such as elections and the emergence of the slogan of the National Alliance for Reform. It also includes several titles, the most prominent of which are the Jordanian interests, the position of the group on the Jordanian constitution, political participation and the opposition, its position on the right to resist occupation and others and the belief of the Islamic Movement that the relationship with the institution of the Jordanian throne is governed by understanding.
