Increased brutality: Houthis target refugee camps in Hodeidah

The terrorist Houthi organization has not only circumvented the implementation of the Stockholm Agreement on withdrawing from the ports and city of Hodeidah, but it has also committed many crimes against Yemen’s women. The SAM Organization for Rights and Liberties has revealed the number of detainees in Houthi prisons and the extent of crimes committed by the militia, including arbitrary detentions and psychological and physical torture of detainees.

In a move showing the Houthis’ increased brutality, the militia fired a rocket at a camp for displaced persons south of Hodeidah province in western Yemen, injuring two children.

Houthi elements stationed in remote areas of the Hays district fired a Katyusha rocket late on Friday at a refugee camp in the Khokha district in southern Hodeidah.

The Houthi militia also targeted the Bani Jaber refugee camp with three shells in early October, killing and injuring dozens of refugees, mostly women and children.

Meanwhile, two paramedics were killed and three civilians, including a woman, were wounded by the Houthi militia in the southern city of Hays in southern Hodeidah.

The Yemeni military reported that a citizen of Hays was shot in the thigh and his wife was wounded by a sniper rifle from Houthis stationed in remote areas north of the city.

The rescue teams brought in an ambulance to save the wounded and an explosive device planted by the Houthi militias exploded on its way, killing two paramedics and wounding the driver of the vehicle.

In addition, the Houthis resumed targeting the positions of the joint forces in the southern outskirts of the city of Tahita.

According to the media center of the Giants Brigades, the Houthis bombed the positions of the joint forces in both the north and east of the Direhmi district with heavy 120-caliber mortars and targeted them with machine guns and sniper weapons.
