Russia has expressed desire to coordinate with France in the efforts aiming to communicate with the warring parties in Libya in order to deescalate the current conflict.
Russia’s President Vladimir Putin unveiled in a presser before a meeting with France’s President Emmanuel Macron on Monday that Libya is a vital issue to be discussed with Macron.
Putin said it was necessary that warring parties in Libya reach reconciliation, adding that he would like to know where France stands regarding this issue in order to coordinate together.
The Russian President arrived in Paris to hold discussions with Macron about issues of mutual interest.
The Kremlin Press Secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said Putin’s visit to France would last one day as he would touch upon the Libyan latest developments among others issues such as Syria, Iran and Ukraine.
