Accusations to Turkey of being a sponsor of terrorist organizations were always present at the United Nations General Assembly meetings, including in the latest meetings.
On September 24, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry issued a statement in which it revealed shocking facts about Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
The statement compounds statistics about violations committed by Erdogan’s regime against the Turkish people.
Turkish terrorism in Syria
On September 7, a report by the nonprofit research group, Investigative Project on Terrorism, threw light on the role Turkey’s largest charity plays in backing terrorism. The charity, it says, gets support from the Turkish intelligence. The report added that the international humanitarian agency, CARE, has agreed to offer support to the charity.
CARE offered support to the Turkish charity, IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, for years, the report said.
It added that this support is controversial in the light of revelations about links between the same Turkish charity and terrorism financing.
The Investigative Report accuses CARE of overlooking the role IHH plays in promoting extremist ideologies. It said the Turkish charity offers financial support to tens of thousands of refugees in Turkey.
According to the Investigative Project, IHH was active in the transfer of arms and fighters to battlefield. The organization, it said, masked this support in the guise of humanitarian aid.
Libya’s militias
On September 22, a senior officer of the National Libyan army revealed the presence of Turkish special combat troops in Libya.
These troops, he said, fight side by side with the extremist militias fighting the Libyan National Army in Libyan capital Tripoli.
On September 25, the same officer said Turkey had sent a new group of foreign fighters to Libya. He said these fighters arrived in northwestern Libyan city of Misurata.
The Libyan National Army says, meanwhile, that foreign fighters arrive in Tunisia from Turkey and then enter Libya.
Libyan National Army Spokesman, Gen. Ahmed al-Mesmari, accused both Libya and Qatar on July 29 of interfering directly in Libyan affairs.
